Inkin with Val

Last week I did two evenings with Christmas cards which included the stamp set. All cards were inspired or CASED from splitcoaststampers . The Class was 4 designs with 2 each. This way, each participant could make one for themselves to keep but also have one to send out if they wish. Everyone was thrilled with the cards and have also decided to use a few of the ideas for the bulk of their Christmas Giving Cards. For the first of the cards, I used the tutorial (and card idea) from Jan Tink ... thanks Jan for such a great tutorial!

October Stampers group was all about Tumbled tiles! These tiles are waterproof and will protect your table surfaces, as well as being absorbant of any condensation or spillage from the glass. These make a wonderful Christmas, House-Warming, Birthday, etc...Gifts! I purchased the tiles at "Home Depot" in Vernon. The cost was $5.99 for 9 tiles. Supplies: tiles rubbing alcohol/cotton wipe stazon stamps (preferably open images you can color in) pastel chalks blender pens krylon finishing spray (I used matte) vinyl bumpers (I asked for the thingys for preventing banging when the doors close-these are to prevent damage to your tables etc.) Clean the surface of the tile using rubbing alcohol and cotton. Using Stazon ink, stamp images to tiles. It shouldn't take too long to dry, you can start coloring very shortly. Use your blender pen to pick up chalk (being very careful not to get the entire surface wet as it will ruin your chalk-just use a tiny corner of the chalk) color your

Card Gift Bag Adapted from Paper Crafts Magazine Great for giving sets of matching cards or stationery or small gifts Use one full sheet of 8 ½ x 11 cardstock Score at 7 ¼ (+/or at 1 ¼ depending on how you look at it) on the 11 inch sides Score at 4 ½ (+/or at 6 ½ depending on how you look at it) on the 8 ½ inch sides Fold the scored lines; cut the 4 1/2 inch score lines just to where they meet the 7 1/4 score lines (makes small flaps that will be folded in when you make the sides by adhering the longer flaps to each other).
